Reinforcement is one of those line items that looks small on a quote until you multiply it across a whole slab or wall. Here is what we're currently tracking for BRC wire mesh and the accessories that go with it:

The gap between the cheapest mesh (KSh 9,500) and the priciest gauge (KSh 17,500) is nearly double - gauge matters as much as brand here, so confirm exactly which BRC spec your engineer has specified before you order, not just "wire mesh."
Don't forget the small stuff
Binding wire and rebar safety caps are easy to forget when budgeting, but on a site with a lot of exposed rebar, safety caps aren't optional - factor them in per stick, not as an afterthought line item.
